Color management has been one of those features that everyone talks about but few know how to actually implement. Kodak has taken a bold step in offering a total color managed solution for its recently announced DCSProBack camera. With the use of the camera software, Capture Studio, Kodak utilizes ICC profiles to perform its color processing. In the Kodak booth, the Capture Studio software will be on display to show how a user can make a custom ICC profile with the capture of a MacBeth color chart with the DCSProBack camera. Included in the demonstration will be the discussion of how Kodak architected its data path to use what are referred to as “Look†profiles. These “Look†profile enable users to render there images in a variety of ways to meet whatever creative or commercial demands they may have.

Provides patented light and color solutions that measure the spectral(spectroradiometers that measure from 380 nm to 1100 nm), photometric (photometers) and colorimetric (colorimeters) quantities of self-emissive, transmissive and reflective media. Instrumentation employ the often copied but never equaled, world-renowned Pritchard optics and are all NIST (National Institute for Standards and Technology) traceable. Models range from portable to fully integrated turnkey systems that marry instrumentation and light measurement expertise with state of the art positioning and control software technologies. Applications include CRT, FPD, LED, filter transmittance, lamp metrology, specular and diffuse reflectance and more. They contribute to the creation of standards published by organizations such as VESA, ISO and SAE helping industry to properly characterize the wide variety of display and lighting products. A full metrology service is available for certified measurements of your products.

HunterLab provides comprehensive color measurement systems. The ColorQuest XE sphere spectrophotometer measures reflected color, transmitted color and haze. The LabScan XE with 0o/45o geometry efficiently excludes the specular component thus the effect of gloss is included in the measurement. This geometry gives data that best correlates to how the eye sees reflected color.

Tailored Lighting will demonstrate SoLux, a patented new light bulb that simulates the visible daylight spectrum far better than any other light source on the market. SoLux comes in three color temperatures, 5000K, 4100K and 3500K all with CRIs over 98. SoLux is used by leading companies like DuPont, and Daimler Chrysler for paint color evaluation, and by leading galleries and museums such as the Rijksmuseum, Guggenheim, National Gallery of Art, and Van Gogh Museum to light their priceless collections.

NEW LOW COST LIGHT STABILITY TESTER
Q-Panel Lab Products will feature their new affordable Q-Sun Xenon Test Chamber. The Q-Sun tests materials for light stability by exposing them to full spectrum xenon arc light. The Q-Sun is especially useful for testing printing inks for fading and color change. Two models are available. On display will be the Q-Sun/1000, which is an economical table-top tester with a small footprint. The larger Q-Sun/3100 is a full featured, self-standing tester. Humidity control is an available option on the Q-Sun/3100. Many ISO and ASTM test procedures call for control of humidity during xenon exposures. Other tester features include low cost replacement lamps; solar eye irradiance control; chamber air temperature; water spray option; ASTM and ISO compliance; and large specimen capacity.
