2008 Logistics
Accommodations
A block of rooms has been reserved at the Baltimore’s
Tremonts Suite Hotels, 222 Saint Paul Place, for the evenings of September 13th through the 15th at a special conference rate of US$125 per night plus applicable taxes. The Baltimore’s Tremonts Suite Hotels puts you in the heart of Baltimore’s Inner Harbor with its dining, shopping and attractions including the Baltimore Science Center and the National Aquarium.
You are responsible for your own reservations. For reservations, call Hotel Direct: 1-800-TREMONT (800-873-6668) or via email to Patrice@tremonts.com. When making your reservation please quote, “Inter-Society Color Council Annual meeting” to receive the group rate. Note that there are multiple Tremont Hotels in the area, but requesting the ISCC rate will automatically get your reservation in the correct facility.
Reservations must be made prior to Wednesday, August 13, 2008 by 5:00 pm. After that date the hotel will release the remaining portion of the bedroom block for resale. The hotel will accept reservations after the aforementioned date, on a space available basis, however, guests may not benefit from the contracted rate.
Transportation
The Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport is roughly 11 miles from the hotel and Inner Harbor. The airport code is BWI.
Another option is taking the train (MARC train during the week or Amtrak anytime) and then a taxi from the train station in Baltimore.
Transportation from BWI to the Tremonts Suite Hotels
Driving directions: Take the airport exit (I-195). Take the exit (#2A) to the Baltimore/Washington Parkway (MD-295) towards Baltimore for 8 miles. Turn right onto W. Baltimore St and then turn left on N. Charles St. Turn right on E. Saratoga St. and then right on St. Paul Place. The hotel is 222 Saint Paul Place on the right.
On-site parking at the hotel for valet service is $20 a day with in and out privileges. Self-parking is available at $15 a day with NO in and out privileges.
Taxi fare (estimated): $35 one way.
There are a number of shuttle services that can be found on the BWI website.
Meals and Breaks
Each day the Tremont will provide:
- A continental breakfast
- Mid-morning refresh
- Afternoon break
Sunday evening’s reception is yet to be determined. Monday evening’s reception will be held at the
Tremont Suites Hotel.
Monday and Tuesday’s luncheon will be at the Tremont Suites Hotel.
Sunday’s lunch and Monday’s dinner are on your own. The Inner harbor is a short walk
and includes a wonderful selection of restaurants or one can take the water taxi to Fells Points for
an additional selection of restaurants.
